David Biggs created a new topic ' AP GTOCP2 now obsolete?' in the forum. 6 months ago

I just updated my Ekos to the latest version and the driver for my AP GTOCP2 disappeared.
From the source code it has been moved to the Obsolete directory.
This appears to me a move to simplify the driver selection options.
I was able to modify the code and recompile the driver to get the option back, but not something I want to have to do everytime the code updates.
I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing regarding GTOCP2 support. The AP V2 driver didn't work.
Could obsolete drivers still be compiled but listed under an Obsolete selection?

Thanks!
David

Will this fix the same issue that occurs when using the Altitude Limit?

Thank you for the explanation and the tip to use the time limit. I'll use that instead instead of the altitude limit.

Hi,

I was trying to image 2 objects last night, the Horsehead Nebula, and then M51.  The switch should have occurred around midnight, as I had a 34 degree altitude limit.
The previous night I did M42 and then M51.  M42 job completed and then M51 continued around the same time.

The log file shows the scores calculated correctly, but the system was shutdown after the first job was interrupted instead of continuing to the valid 2nd job.

Any thoughts?
Thanks
David

I mentioned this in another thread:  indilib.org/forum/stellarmate/10945-meri...t-counting-down.html

With v1.9.4.  I'm having the Meridian counter not updating using OnStep.  I hadn't updated my system in several months.  Previously worked fine.

The problem seems to occur when Tracking is turned on.
When Tracking is OFF, the Coordinates RA and LST update every second.
When Tracking is turned ON, the Meridian Flip counter updates but then doesn't change.  I would then expect AZ and ALT to update frequently, but no Coordinates change.

I don't know if this is OnStep, but the other person was also using OnStep also.  Log file shows everything working properly.
Is anyone else having similar issues?  Might be Ekos internals or a different driver.  Also using ASI cameras and NexDome.
Thanks!

Great, I think the Ekos slaving value just needs to be greater than the Nexdome internal dead zone. So if you need more rotation accuracy you can try reducing it to 1.0, or even 0.6. Hope it fixes the issue for you!

Hi Peter,

Can you send/post a log file for the dome moving across 0 degrees when slaving and I'll have a look.
I do have the Autosync threshold set to 2 degrees in Ekos | Nexdome | Slaving (not 0.5).
Meridian side is Mount.

Do we know when the code was pulled from indi-3rdparty to compile this version?

Thanks, that did the trick!

I'm having the Meridian counter not updating using OnStep, but with the nightly build on Ubuntu (not StellarMate).
