Hello Everyone,

I have been looking for a way to convert my ASCOM focus driver to INDI.
Since I am a Windows programmer and have not done anything with the Raspberry Pi, except put Astroberry on one, Are there  step by step
instructions on how I might begin this process?  Looked at this site but can only find code but nothing telling a non Linux person what all this stuff is.
I am used to ASCOM having some very nice tutorials.

Thanks,
William

Is there a way to stop sending the set focus speed command before the focus in or out command is sent to a Meade LX200 mount?
The problem is when I manually send a focus in or out command I get :FS# :F+# and my focus motor controller cannot handle the 2 commands together.
The custom controller I have is very old and it works great except for the commands being sent together.  I just need the :F+# and :F-# with out the :FS# before them.

I have tried all 3 Astro-Physics  INDI drivers and none allow me to use the focus motor port of a CP2 or CP3 controller.
The focus port just controls a DC focus motor.
Does anyone know how I can use focus output on a CP3 with any INDI focus or mount driver?
The commands are very simple.
Maybe someone has a DC focus motor driver that uses them.

Thanks,
William

William Rison created a new topic ' Video camera as guider' in the forum. 3 years ago

Hello Everyone,
I am wanting to use my Vixen video camera as a guider and don't know what device I should use to connect it to the Astroberry.
Under windows I can use the EasyCAP usb to video adapter.  When I plug the EasyCAP into the Astroberry it does show up as the stk1160 under oacapture.  However oacpture crashes when I select it.  Under Ekos there is a Mallincam (just another video camera) but when I connect to indi the camera is not found.
The camera is just has video out so can it be used on the Astroberry?

Thanks,
William
