If I run the stellarmate app and get a successful connection but later follow up with the app and it fails to find the Stellarmate... it just sits on the optical trains menu. The X does not clear the page and the app is unusable. Current app version (ios) and 1.7.3.

It can be challenging. I guess the thing I try to recognize is do I need to update. Often times the fixes aren’t solving anything for me; so I stay where I’m at.
I think the best way to get help is to screen record what you’re doing and share it on here. Otherwise you just get the experienced people who understand the nuances and never have issues with it.

I've had similar issues updating as well. When I try via the 'buttons' on the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3000, it deletes Kstars from the machine. When I use the iOS app, it'll say it's updating but doesn't do anything. If I use the desktop icon via VNC, it deletes Kstars. I did finally get an update to work via the Android version of Stellarmate app; I used my laptop with a program called 'Lplayer' which is a android emulator. After it completed and I rebooted it did not show that it was updated, but I ran the manual commands (per the FAQ it's "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y upgrade") and that finished the update and after a reboot it was full up.

I guess I don't understand why there isn't a simple 'adjust steps this much every degree' in the focus subsystem. Seems ya'll got bogged down in an optimal solution versus implementing something.
Jasem, any chance of adding this at some point? I don't think it needs a special GUI. That would enable exposures over 15-20 minutes.

Website is a bit 1990s but the products are good. Designed to fit stock focusers too and if he doesn't have an adapter he's a machinist and can make it happen for you. I use one on my C11 Edge and it's awesome (no crayford req'd). I also own his rotator; it's really simple and much cheaper than the mass-produced Pegasus ones.
He does have INDI drivers.

I posted another thread where i can’t update to the nightly builds… if I switch to ‘unstable’ (app, web interface, doesn’t matter) it deletes ekos/kstars and the nightly build link in the apt-get fails.

I just tried updating via the iOS app... same deal, swapped to beta. Hit the 'updates available'. It gave me a 'success, reboot', and when it rebooted it had deleted ekos/kstars from the machine.
