I’m using the polar alignment tool with my polemaster on my Losmandy GM811G. Twice now, EKOS reports less than 1’ of polar error, but phd2 reports greater than 10’ of polar error.
Last night, I did a second polar alignment with my main scope (336mm fl with a 2.9um camera) and found that the alignment was indeed off by close to 10’. After completing that, phd2 agreed with the final polar error of around 1’. Is there something about the process or the camera that makes the polemaster inaccurate? Maybe I’m doing something wrong?
