Yes, I have assigned it to Aux 2, and in the Optical train as both Dust cap and Lightbox.

When I control it from the Indi Control Panel / Main control and click unpark, it unparks correctly without turning on the light.

When I then click Flat Light on, I get the error message you refer to , cannot control light while cap is unparked,
but that is of course a correct error message, because the cap has to be in the park position to be able to do the flats.

I use the System Port 1a86_serial / Port usb-1a86_USB_Serial-if00-port0 / Baud Rate 19200, try to check that out in your setup.

I haven't tried in the Scheduler, busy with work unfortunately so no astro sessions right now unfortunately, so try the above
and see if you get another result this way.

I now have positive progress, happy to report that it is working now.

I bought a Stellarmate X to get the much better performance, installed the initial OS 1.7.8 release,
and then used the software updater to get the latest packages (Now it worked !) and attached the
Wanderer Astro Cover v3 to one of it's USB 3.0 ports.

Everything now works, I can control everything including the Filter Wheel filter presets.

I have also tested plugging it into the Pegasus Astro Hub (can deliver more power to the USB port),
it also works in that configuration.

I use these settings:

FILTER EXPOSURE BRIGHTNESS ISO
Seconds FILTER WHEEL PRESET
Clear not working, still to bright 1600
Luminance 0.400 10 1600
HA 3.000 255 1600
HB 0.400 50 1600
OIII 0.400 45 1600
SII 9.000 255 1600

Only thing left is, that the maximum power level when I use my MS Surface Pro (2015)
and the Wanderer Astro Console I can get much more light from this setup (seems like double the power)
than from the Stellarmate/Kstars setup. BElieve it is a driver issue.

For me, not usable with Indi for now.

I can’t get the right power levels to work in Indi as I can in the wandererAstro Windows suppllied software.

I will try to troubleshoot more when I can find time.

It’s a real shame, the device is very High quality, and I want to buy one more for my RC8, but not before the Indi driver works properly.

Contacted Wanderer Astro, and unfortunately the Antwerpen was:

I think it is a driver issue but unfortunately this INDI driver is not developed by WandererAstro, it is developed by some astrophotographer. Currently I am not capable to help with INDI driver for WandererCover V3. WandererAstro will develop INDI driver for the next generation of WandererCover(V4).

Hope somebody could Pick this up and help get the driver right.

Hi,

I have just bought a Wanderer Coverv3 with latest firmware 20221008 to automate my flats.

A wonderful peace of equipment, high quality build, and works flawlessly with the included
WandererConsole V3.0.2.exe, can control the LED in all it's 1-255 steps possible using my PC.

But when using it in INDI, when turning on the Flat light option in the Main Control section,
the brightness setting start with maximum value 255, but the LED power is more like half of it,
now that I have seen the full effect the LED can provide using my MS Surface Pro 2017 USB 3.0 port.

I have purchased a Pegasus Astro USB 3.0 Hub that can provide up to 2.4A pr port and is 12v Powered
specifically to deliver eventual additional power requirement from the port (i read about that before
purchasing). and have also tried the PI4's USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, nothing changes, same issue.

I don't see I have any error messages, so I hope this could be a driver coding mistake, a threshold that is
wrong etc.

Additionally, one other very nice features it the capability to use Presets tab where you can set
the desired brightness level for each filter accordingly.
I'm bnot succesful her either, I can see in the Main Control the the brightness setting changes to what the
filter is set to, but the LED Power level remains unchanged.

Hope someone can help me out :-)

I'M considering purchasing the Pegasus Astro Indigo Filter Wheel as well, did you get the driver to work ?
Is it fully supported now in latest Stellarmate build ?
