Having found little on this topic except dead-ends with search,..Any hope this can be added soon? Looking to start using a Canon M50, now sitting idle, that uses the Canon CR3 Raw format with KSTARS for Mac. It works the camera functions but will not put up FITS previews or plate solve, as "cannot parse the image". Is there a way I can the driver to INDI myself?

I thought we were using the latest gphoto and Libraw which would support CR3, but I will look into that to make sure.

I took a look, it is true that the gphoto is totally up to date, but the libraw version is older We are using Libraw '0.18.13' when there is now this one:

Which apparently is when they added CR3 support.

I will work to add that when I build the next DMG, which should not be too long from now because we would still like to get the QHY driver fixed.

I updated the script to use the new libraw. We need to solve the QHY issue first, but when we do, this change will be in there.
