dithering without guiding

Hi all,
I have discovered that it is possible with EKOS to dither between each frame without guiding (option in the guiding tab), but the direction of dithering is not randomized, so that there is a drift between frames. Have I missed something?

Thanks in advance !

Unless it's a higher class mount with perfect polar alignment any mount will show a drift when unguided (this is why we guide on first hand, isn't it?) The random dither movements can only sit on top of that systematic drift.

Replied by WYBRECHT on topic dithering without guiding

Thank you for your answer, but the drift I have isnot the drift because an error of polar alignment, it is too important. When I shoot with dithering disabled I have no that drift. For information, my tube is a newtopn 200/1000 on a EQ6 R pro, and the error on polar alignement is between 10 arcsec and 55 arcsec.
