Ekos Capture Sequence Saving 8 Bit FIT - 16 Bit Configured

Hello,
I am experiencing Ekos saving 8 Bit Fits files in my capture sequence when my capture settings are set to 16 Bit. My Indi control panel settings for the camera (ASI128MM Mini) are also set for 16 Bit format in Image Settings and Controls. What would cause Ekos to save to 8 Bit when all configuration is set for 16 Bit? In the following screenshots, all of the 1.2MB images are 8 Bit.
