Maudy--
I was working on the dbus issue today. Basically the issue is that at the moment, a dbus server is not bundled in the app. So if you don't have it installed on your computer already, then dbus commands won't work. Today I was working on trying to get dbus bundled into the app. Interestingly, it was much easier to bundle qt, Indi, astrometry, gsc, and xplanet. I got some good progress, but its not there yet.
But until I get that working, there is a very simple solution: Install the dbus server on your Mac, like it is installed on mine. You can type these commands into a terminal:
1. Install Home-brew (if it is not installed already): /usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL
raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
2. Install dbus: brew install dbus
3. Start dbus: brew services start dbus
(Note: These commands only have to be run once. brew will start dbus automatically from now on when you turn on your computer until you tell it to stop.)
Happy imaging!
