Hi

using this url =
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:mutlaqja/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install indi-full kstars-bleeding

I am getting the following message on a new kubuntu build
indi-full : Depends: indi-toupbase but it is not installable

Is there a fix or workaround, I do not need toupbase, but maybe other people do
Upgrading an older existing install worked ok
Thanks

I think you mean 23.10. If you do, avoid .10 releases with ubuntu, those are for desktop use and quite frankly, I wouldn't even use those for that.
They're for users who really want/need bleeding edge stuff.
For astro use, stick with LTS releases, so 22.04. You're not gonna miss anything.

Oh, on the subject of Ubuntu LTS, refrain from using too new LTS either. So when 24.04 will be released later on this year, don't just upgrade. Wait until 24.04.1, the first update, hits the servers. That's more or less when all the external repositories, like indi ones, catch up.

Hi,

You can try this: sudo apt install gsc libindi1 indi-bin kstars-bleeding
I also had trouble trying the indi-full but the above worked just fine.

Yes 23.10

Kstars 3.6.9 installed with no apparent problems on a laptop that was running 23.10 and Kstars 3.6.2 (I think)

Thanks for the hint regarding keeping the repositories in sync
