Meade ETX 70 and Ekos?

Hi!

I've just become an owner of an old Meade ETX 70 (without handcontroller). I note that there are Indi drivers that should work with this. But how? There is an "aux" connector, RJ11 I think, on the device - is that what I should use, and if so, how....? Anyone knows or knows of a resource I could have a look at?

Replied by Sven Beukema on topic Meade ETX 70 and Ekos?

I see no replies but I'm just as curious as mlarsson. So any answers available? Or have you succeeded in the meantime and have some tips, mlarsson?

I want to use a Astroberry with an ETX-70. Should be an awesome upgrade!

Thanks in advance!

You need to connect an Autostar controller model 495 or 497 to the EtX and Meade 505 serial cable to use the ETX with Ekos.
On the controller is a serial connector where you connect the 505 Meade cable to the computer or rPi.

Do NOT connect the aux with anything but Meade peripherals!
It will damage your gear
