I'm using the scheduler to do narrowband all night while I sleep.

Apparently the focuser module "forgets" that I've set the L filter and just goes ahead with whatever NB filter was used for the previous light frame (in this case OIII).

I'm using indinightly

Is this a bug? Or have I neglected to set something somewhere?

For this target (Crescent Nebula) focusing is still possible using NB filters, but it sure is slow!

Can you post a screenshot for your Filter Manager settings?

Aha -- that was it!

I needed to click the little funnel icon that brings up a "Filter Settings" box. I knew about this box for setting focus offsets, but I had not checked the tick box in there for "Auto Focus."

Thank you very much -- problem solved.

Actually, that's not it. The setting you probably want is "Lock Filter". For example, for H-Alpha, you might want to set Lum as your lock filter so that it ways focuses in L before going back to whatever filter used before. That's one option.

OK, so not this panel? How do I find the "Lock Filter?"
