Can I install SM on a Linux PC?

Hi all,

I’m wondering if it’s possible to install and run SM (KStars, Ekos etc) from a Linux based PC rather than a RPI? The reason is that I find the RPI under powered and the wifi flaky.

if it is possible what version of Linux should I use?

StellarMate is a prebuild distro for raspberry pi, ready to use.

You can install all the tools on your linux system using many scripts available online that automatize the procedure, or you can follow these steps to build your system

You can use Ubuntu desktop as base OS

And are there any hardware requirements or can I simply use a NUC (or similar) and install Ubuntu?
