Hello,
I just received a ZWO AM5 mount.
Cannot connect to INDI/Ekos.
The driver insists on connecting over Network (there's none).
If I try via Serial it says cannot connect to /dev/ttyUSB0 and switches to Network...
Can someone help me please?
Thanks!

ZWO EAF x 3.
After some searching here I found the answer!
A user by the name BBILLP suggested to copy content of ttyACM0 to ttyUSB0.
I couldn't figure out how to copy the content so I just renamed ttyACM0 to ttyUSB0 and it worked!
Now my AM5 connects via USB without a problem.
I think this needs to be addressed - the solution is not that obvious.
I used the latest stable StellarMate.
But that install was not fresh - I used the same card with HEQ5 and CEM40.
Maybe that's why I had an issue.
Anyway, my AM5 is happily running outside (I received it just 6 hours ago) with a pretty heavy load for AM5 - RC6 with cameras and focuser. Using a small 2kg counterweight.
Guiding is good without much tuning.

Tonight, I upgraded AM5's firmware to the latest 1.2.8 beta.
Unfortunately, wasn't able to test.
Again, INDI was looking for \dev\ttyUSB0 but couldn't find it.
There are ttyAMA0 and ttyAMC0 instead.
This time I didn't want to mess with this - I just restored the original 1.1.2 firmware and everything was back to normal.
I guess, new firmware will also need an updated INDi driver, right?

You should be able to define a udev rule to automatically map ttyACM to ttyUSB when the AM5 is plugged in. wiki.archlinux.org/title/udev gives an example.
Earlier today, I did a fresh install of SM 1.7.7 on a new Mele Q3.
AM5 got recognized right away! (once I switched the connection from network to serial).
The whole setup process was very easy.
Shooting with it right now.
