Trouble with focuser Focuser Boss II

Hi,
I'm just migrating from a Windows PC ASCOM running configuration to a Stellarmate(INDI) raspberry pi 4 setup.

Everything seems to be working, with the exception of the focuser.

I Setup FocusLynx, Model FT Motor PDMS, connected with Serial/USB interface.

But I can't see the status: position, temperature. And I can't move them.

Attached the INDI config and the config (running) on windows.

FocusLynx Firmware: 2.3.6.0

Any ideas?
Please help
regards
Stefano

Welcome to INDI forum. Not entirely sure, but how about your SYNC the focuser upon first connection first? Make sure the focuser is fully retracted (closest to telescope), then set SYNC to 0. Then you can focus outwards? Does this focuser require any calibration? maybe max position setting as well?

Hi, thanks for your reply,
Sure I did the calibration, and that seems to work, but I can't then move the current position.

Moving Absolute position:
2021-05-08T12:28:46: [INFO] Focuser is moving to position 2000
Moving relative Position:
2021-05-08T12:26:18: [ERROR] Requested position out of bound. Focus minimum position is 0
Calibrazion:
2021-05-08T12:26:11: [INFO] Setting current position to 0

Moving Absolute position, is moving the focuser (relative position not) but never complete the command (stay yellow).
I don't know which is the correct model to use in my case.

When I change the Model of the focuser (to test others), Ekos disappear./kill...

Is really a strange behavior.

When using Relative Position it focus inward / outward as per the amount there. Since it is as zero, focusing INWARD would not work (it cannot go minus). So the response from the driver is correct. However, going via absolute position *should* work. If not, please enable focuser logging and attach the logs: indilib.org/individuals/logs-howto.html

It seems, nobody in the INDI community is using this focuser, so I will go back to window until someone tells me how to use this.

FocusBoss II issue was actually reported last year in the forum with apparently no solution. I emailed the folks at Optec to send me an updated documentation regarding this so that the driver is updated accordingly. If you have any documentation regarding the command set used to control this driver, please share.

I found this: indilib.org/forum/general/648-is-an-indi...r-boss-ii-exist.html

I try to send some commands via serial COM, and seems to me ok.

I don't know how the INDI interface is implemented.
Why for example is not reporting the correct temperature?
I try to send the command <F1STATUS> and is reporting the correct information.

Is the INDI interface using this command set?

On the PC Lynx program, I see that I'm using the QuickSync Hi-Speed Type.

If I change on the INDI Control Panel model, then it going back to FetureTouck HSM HI-Speed, I don't know if has the same behaviors of FocusLynx QuickSync Hi-Speed.

What I know, that I lose a lot of time to get any result.

I belive the protocol is Implemented, but I'm unable to select them correctly
