Hello,

In the capture module I am not able to set an offset value for the camera. The option is greyed out. I am using the kstars-bleeding distribution and have copied over the libtoupcam.so file from the camera's SDK cd which is the latest available firmware. I have seen many posts of people being able to set the offset for this camera so I am not sure what to do. My last resort is to give up and start the learning process for NINA which I really don't want to do.

Please help :-(

Hello All fellow RisingCam users.

I am missing a few options for my cam, not sure what is going on but these are the options I have on the controls ? I can't find offset or anything similar to that.

Some updates.
I can connect and run the camera fine if I start the indiserver outside Kstars/Ekos with following command line:
indiserver -v indi_toupcam_ccd indi_eqmod_telescope indi_asi_ccd

Then I just set connection to Remote and it works, would this indicate something wrong with Kstars/Ekos and not really the Indi driver. I can live with this as it is, but if I can help trace the issue just let me know.

Hello All,

I just received the Toupcam IMX571 and tried to connect to indi via Ekos/Kstars and get the following error attached in the screenshot.
I was wondering how I can debug the error and maybe find a fix for this as I really do not want to try and return the camera all the way to china and wait a few more months for something else.

Any ideas or how I can get more information to help solve this issue ?
I have copied the libtoupcam.so that came with the SDK from the camera CD after trying with the one that comes with the PPA and indi_full distro. I have also tried the nightly dev PPA and they all break the same way.

It connects for a few seconds and then just stops. I am running Ubuntu on a NUC with intel x64 n4105 chipset.
Any ideas ?

Thanks,
Paulo Poinha

Yes tried all of those, I even switched off the FITS preview. It still creates a FITS file for the solving so that is where it spends most of the time. I think when I have more time maybe I look into running just the indi in the Pi and then run the rest on the PC.
Any docs to config this ?

Thanks

I am connected to a raspberry Pi4 using astroberry. But I have just given up on plate solving with the Nikon, I will use the guide cam and align it with my imaging scope. Guide cam takes less than 1 second.

Hi,
I am talking about time from CAM to the computer directly plugged into the camera. I am not using Wifi or any network.
Thanks,

Hello All,

I am imaging with a Nikon D5500 DSLR and have tried using the Nikon and the GPhoto driver and both have similar results.
For the image to be acquired using 1s exposure, from the time the exposure is done until I get Image received it takes 15secs. This is a huge time to get the image and for example if I want to use focusing or plate solving it takes 15secs every time for a picture to be received and then only plate solving can start whcih almost makes the stars move away by the time it found something.

Back to point, does anyone use the D5500 and what settings do you have and also what is the avg. download times for the pictures.
I am using RAW(NEF), save to SD Card, Local/Client(tried all settings)

Any ideas, or also if this is just the normal time and I have to live with this it ?

Thanks,
Paulo
