It runs for a set number of milliseconds. It's no where best as precise, but the auto focus routine can still calculate the FWHM (iirc) curve and get closer than unaided focusing.

Simple DC focus motors are supported in Ekos. There are really not recommended at all and I think everyone should invest in a stepper motor based focuser, but they still exist so we gotta support them.

it didn’t work for me. I’ve update the entire ubuntu assuming the Indi updates ran in the apt-get update/upgrade.

I just rebuilt libindi on Ubuntu 18.04, so if you're on that, try again.

Sorry, it didn’t work. Is apt-get update and upgrade enougth? (Ubuntu mate on raspberry).
Did you changed anything relative to time or kind of? My lx200 sends time and location ok but now kstars does’nt print it well and scope position is moved now ☹️

is it Ubuntu 18.04? If yes, then it should be updated. The driver version is now 2.1 (check under Connection tab).

Yes, my ubuntu is 18.4 and driver is 2.0.
I do apt update/upgrade on ssh but it doesn’t updates any package from Indi.

No.
Trying apt install indi (full or basic) tells me that latest version is allready installed and is 1.7.... :S

Then you're on stable and not nightly, switch to nightly to test.
