It would be great to have some sort of GOTO functionality. Mayge just a list of stellar objects to select from or RA and DE fields to manually enter coordinates?

I use Kstars for this ))
Just start Kstars in parallel with AstraLite, connect remote in EKos panel and use sky map, goto, plate solve, polar alignment etc
And don't forget disable camera live view mode in AstraLite before this

PS: it's planned for the distant future for AstraLite

New alpha version 0.0.77. Not yet tested on real sky.
Main features:
1. Saving preview image as jpeg

2. More complex folder names for saving raw frames

+ Lot of refactoring. Warning: some options can be reverted to default state if to switch to this version of app!

I'm thinking about simple sky map for my app. Where better to get stars and deep sky object catalogue (with position, name, magnitude etc) for it?

Having a GOTO function is one way, but it seems that the function of linking with Kstar and Ekos will also be convenient for users.

Added button to switch to Kstar chart, use PlateSolving feature of Ekos with PlateSolving button, etc. .

I seem to be busy lately, but it might be a good idea to talk to Jasem.

T-Studio, EKos is too complicated application in my opinion. I had to watch one-hour video only to understand how to start working with the application. So I'm not sure this is good idea

I must say that I totaly agree with Denis here. With all respect, but Ekos UX really isn't that great. I prefer AstraLite UX over Ekos so far. What's even point in working on new application if it is copy of existing one or if it requires existing one to operate. I think star chart, even most simple one, would be great addition to AstraLite. Denis made great work here and we should support that in every possible way.

I actually agree with you Simon. Remember that Ekos was created in 2012, so it's 13 years old now. However, changing the Ekos UI at this stage is not a good idea as many users are *already* used to it. But I agree that AstraLite UX is simpler and Dennis is doing a phenomenal job with this app!
