Issues with V3.6.7 was created by MORELLI

Hello,

The Internal Solver crashes every plate solve. The image is loaded then the shape that turns, freezes and Kstars crashes. Runs well with V3.6.6

I took a look at your log and it is full of odd long lines that apparently come from the HiPS module, though not near the crash.
Can you try and turn off the HiPS overlay and see if that's related to the crash, e.g. somehow corrupting memory?

Also, I see you are getting this crash with the simulators. Can you please show step-by-step how to reproduce this?

If possible, also include the following files so I could see your settings (these are the linux locations, I'm not familiar with where the mac stores them, perhaps you know):
~/.local/share/kstars/userdb.sqlite
~/.config/kstarsrc
~/.indi/*

Thanks,
Hy

Without HIPS, same issue. I have nothing into the directory ./config/kstars/

Process: OPen Kstars, connect simlation setup profile, slew to Altaïr, then Capture and Solve. The image is captured, some times after the shape that turns freezes and crash !

It is not in the directory ~/.config/kstars, it is the single file ~/.config/kstarsrc
Please send if you can find it.
When I tried just using the two things you sent, it had issues with the optical train, so I guess I need all 3.

I was not able to reproduce with my config.

I apologize. I have this issue on a laptop and on my desktop, with V3.6.7. My second laptop with v3.6.6 runs well.

Sorry, I tried putting in all your config files, but I get an optical train error. Not sure why.
I've sent a note to Jasem in case he understands.

With my setup, when I try and follow your instructions it works.

If I go in the optical train editor I see this:

and clicking on Telescopes and Lenses I get this

However, when running your setup, when I try to align I get the error message

and when I look at the optical train, I see that the Scope/Lens section is not filled out

Is Scope/Lens filled out for you? If so, please send a screenshot or tell me what it shows.

Optical train and lens are filled normally. With Astrometry.net or Astap, no issue, luckily !

I just see that type was not filled. Once filled, the issue is always here.

Some times after: On my desktop, I delete the profile and create again. The issue vanishes ! I do the same on my laptop. No way, issue is going on. I join the log

I update Kstars with the last compilation. Still the same on my laptop. May be the problem is specific to this laptop, but what ?
Like the desktop it runs Mint 21.1.

I delete all XML files of the simulation profil. The issue disappears on my desktop, but not on my laptop !!

With Astrometry.net or Astap, the alignment is running. But for the PA, on the first rotation KStars goes round and round and crashes with Internal Solver.

I join the log. Just opening Kstars and launching the PA. On my laptop HP EliteBook 745 G6.

I don't see anything about an activated solver or alike.
The only thing that looks strange is:

Do you really try to do a polar alignment?
