Mount limits explanation - issue

Greetings,

I have already lost a few nights due to this bug (?)

First, I would like to know how exactly those mount limits work. I can't recall where or how but I used to have it Min Alt -1, Max Alt 90. My only concern is to set those limits to avoid going lower than the horizon and hitting my pier. I have never had an issue till now.

So let's put it that way, cause this is useful to all of us: How do we set those values to avoid slewing below the horizon?

Now (fully updated) while I am in the session I get this error that ruins the whole night.

Any idea?

At what altitude does it hit your pier? maybe it's not altitude but hour angle? I see my mount going below 0 all the time while slewing and it's not a big deal.

First of all, I believe the real deal here is to understand what are those and how we calculate those values. I wasn't able to find explanations about these, but instead only posts that no one knew how to deal with.

Jasem, you say you are below 0 too. But which is the 0 position? How can I say mine?

And the part that tricks me is: Why now? What has changed? I had no issues till May when I started my observatory.
