I have a DIY mount (belt drive LX70 - CG5 clone using AstroEQ) that seems to have an issue with tracking speed. With my 80mm scope it doesn't appear to be an issue, but with my 8" SCT, stars drift during polar alignment.
I noticed there seems to be a place to adjust RA and DEC in Ekos (currently set at 15.x, something like that). Is there a procedure for calculating what the values should be?
This is where I'm talking about. Apparently, I can set custom tracking rates. Note: RA started as 15.041067. For grins, I changed this to 15.041065 and hit set. The number changed to 15.041100 and I cannot change it back to what it was *AND* I see an error "2020-02-01T16:29:26: [WARNING] Warning: Invalid parameter -> Speed rate out of limits: 0.00x Sidereal (min=0.05, max=800.00)
Admin - please delete this thread. The "problem" is present in both my Astroberrys across all three of my mounts. I opened another thread specifically to pin down the cause. Thanks.
