Until recently my setup was a strict server-client setup. Recently I started experimenting using a local setup (telescope-bound computer), with remote (vnc) access. It made me realise how little I understood of the underlying architecture of configurations, profiles, drivers and what is used where. For example, where are configurations saved. Are they stored with the driver (=local?), or somewhere in Ekos (could be local or remote)? How can you make sure you use the same configurations regardless whether you work local or remote? Is it possible to copy configuration files from one computer to the other?
In similar fashion, profiles are presumably stored both locally (INDI web manager) and remotely (Ekos), but what if they are different and if that is a problem, is there a way to keep them synchronised?
Is there a document somewhere that describes this architecture in a bit more detail?
