hi, after reboot I tried
astroberry@astroberry:~ $ sudo screen /dev/ttyUSB0 9600

And it shows blank screen...

But my window PC can communicate with the LX200 Autostar...
And my raspberry pi worked with the the telescope last week....
I am tired.... :<

Just now, it works again. I can control the telescope using Kstars...
I just added back my GPS (GPSD)
I don't understand why it works now....

Hi,

I found a work around solution.
As soon as I unplug and plug in the LX200 Autostar USB before I click play button, I can control the telescope using Kstars.
Cheers,

Hi Andy,

Is your adapter plugged directly into the PI or through a hub? If a hub, is it powered, what else is plugged into the hub?
If the unit starts working after a re-plug, is it plugged in when your first powered on or do you plug it in after the PI has booted and you need to re-plug to get it to work?

If the issue comes back, you will need to enable debugging in the lx200 driver
Your logs all show
org.kde.kstars.ekos: "Re-disabling debug logging for LX200 Autostar..."
....
"org.kde.kstars.indi: LX200 Autostar : "[INFO] Debug is disabled. ""

When Ekos is in control, debugging cannot be force enabled in the INDI control panels

Launch Ekos
Near upper right is a 'Logs' button, click it
Click Verbose
Then next to Drivers, click Mount
Then click Apply

Also, your adapter is a Silicon_Labs_CP2102 and not an FTDI

My astronomy club recently troubleshooted an issue with a donated Meade telescope we are setting up with GPS AutoStar. Firmware had to be updated to conform with the GPS system time epoch rollover.
