Hi,
If this has been discussed, my apologies, I couldn't find a reference. I'm unable to view HIPS DSS data on OS X KStars 3.5.7 2023-08-27T17:43:38Z. When refreshing the server, I get "awaiting response from the server..." and then "Error downloading HiPS sources: Connection closed". The sources list of viewable overlays is not populated. I'm not sure if this is a OS X permissions error or something else. The rest of this version on OS X (M1 MacStudio) appears to superficially work as expected (not really tested yet).
From the same home WiFi, my Ubuntu 22.04 KStars (3.6.7 Beta) is able to populate sources list without an issue.
Well, it does work occassionally, I just not sure why it does/doesn't yet.
BTW I get numerous sky rendering glitches when the HiPS overylay is enabled, perhaps when it doesn't actually have cached data yet, but again, the conditions to trigger it are elusive.
