Now that I have fixed my guiding issue, it 100% due to the loose DEC belt in the CEM25p, what can somebody tell me about this drift plot please?
I am using Ekos defaults guiding values so lots of tuning left to do...
There may be several reasons, but in any case something is going wrong with the DEC axis.
Can you also post the graph (DEC + correction pulses), which can provide more information about the problem.
- or you have a very large backlash on DEC that plays tricks on you
- or your corrections are much too large
- or you have oscillation (although the DEC drift graph is not regular enough for that)
The graph with correction pulses will provide more clarity about this.
PS: You can check/uncheck the correction check boxes while taking pictures, it will not affect any job.
No, as long as you don't turn the sensor after calibration, it makes no difference.
But I asked the question with a different intention: I dare to suspect that your problem is on the RA axis, although on the graph the DEC axis appears to be the problem.
