Possible stupid newbie question: autoguiding was created by Rob Meades

Apologies if this is a stupid question but when running Indi/Ekos/Kstars is (or can) the auto-guiding process be carried out locally on the Indi side of the system? I'm interested in minimising the bandwidth requirements on, and a dependence on the complete reliability of, the link back to Ekos, which will be a Wifi link in my case.
