Hello @Corrado
I'm currently not able to check this problem. But the function called - and not found - is in the Indi namespace, it seems to be some version mixup.
Either libindi is to old, and the driver was linked against a newer version of indi, or the other way around.

It should be fixable with an update.
I recommend opening a ticket at github libindi@Githubhttps://github.com/indilib/indi and a little patience.

Hi everyone
I'm trying to decide whether to purchase a vetec571 but can't get a definitive answer as to whether this works or not.

I noticed that libomegonpro was updated yesterday.

Could anyone confirm that the Omegon vetec cameras now work (if they ever didn't!) or not?

hello @alacant,
I have the cam for about a year, using Indi only, I have nothing to complain.
Sometimes I get driver hang-ups, but this occurs with all of my devices.
Coming from a DSLR its a huge step up regarding image quality.

It's on order.

I'm also coming from DSLRs and I've read good reviews about the cheaper copìes of the asi2600. I think the Omegon has the same sensor, but with a hefty €600 difference.

hello alacant,
The problem was my Ubuntu installation. Now I solved it and I can tell you that it works perfectly for me too. Indeed, the latest implementation of the Omegon driver is richer and more complete: we can read the power supplied by the cooling Peltier cell, set the anti-dew heating power and generally set the settings more simply. ;-)

Thanks. VeTEC571: Confirmed working right out of the box using the omegonpro option. Latest stable. Great job.

Just a few bits:
1. The cooler toggle in the EKOS capture tab has no effect. It has to be turned on or off from the INDI control panel.
Have I missed a configuration item perhaps?
2. Offset for gain 100. Any recommendations?

Hello alacant,
1.) Usually I use the indi panel, but I also noticed these settings seem to disagree. Probably a bug.

2.) I figured my offset out by comparing the image "quality" off my bias frames with the ones created by shipped software. Initially my indi pictures where full of stripes, while the ones of the omegon software appeared quite flat. So I took bias frames with offset 0 in indi and looked at the histogram for the min and max values, using the min as start. Slowly increasing until you are satisfied with the result, my end result was 786. But it might differ from your sensor.

FWIW, I found a thread discussing the 571;

They speak of an offset of 768.

I tried both 786 and 768 and can't detect any difference.
