StellarMate System Time Not Updating

Hello,
I am running StellarMate on rPi4 B. I have a GPS dongle installed. The GPS time and location are configured and working perfectly with KStars per this instruction: www.stellarmate.com/help/ConfiguringGPSinStellarMate.html
However, StellarMate system time is not updating in the top bar:

No matter if I manually set the time in the Date/Time dialogue or set it to Auto Sync Date/Time:

If I navigate to the StellarMate Home and back again, the System Time will update:

Is there a setting/config that I am missing on this? It doesn't seem to be causing any problems but doesn't seem as if this is working as intended.

Cheers,
Douglas

The problem is not limitaed only to Stellarmate but I have the same on my Raspbian. Date and time is only updated in KStars, but not in the system

I'm afraid the effects can span farther than our OCD

As I outlined in www.indilib.org/forum/general/13613-gps-...date-time.html#95479, this very problem seems to be the reason my mount driver is setting incorrect local sidereal time to the mount, which in the end manifests very clearly in how the mount doesn't understand where the meridian is and flips around incorrect lines (instead of the meridian!)

In my case it looks like the problem is in insufficient privileges of the user which runs INDI (indi_gpsd in particular), and an obvious solution idea is to try running as root.
I am going to google around how to allow a non-root user to set system time.

Upd. Solution found, it's in the thread linked above.
