Hi all

my request is for people without rotator in the image train, I would like to have an option in the align rotator settings to allow the check to pass if the image is upside down (+ - 180°) but below the threshold. The images are then processed by Siril or something that can handle images from both pier sides. This could help to not being stuck if the image was captured one night on one pier side and you want to go back the next night but with target on the other pier side.

Thank you for the valuable and very reasonable suggestion.
In the new rotator controller for motorized rotators the "flipped image policy" (as I call it) is already implemented. So I think it will not be very complicated to port this policy to the manual rotator. I just have to find an intuitive place to put the option. Any ideas?

For the place to put this checkbox, I'd put it into the rotator settings decoration, on the right. It might be greyed out or hidden for train with a rotator as this option is less valuable for such setup (but maybe some people with rotator could be interested).

Edit : of course, this option would not be active if the "Automatic and manual rotator setting" is disabled but I guess it is obvious.

btw, I guess it should be enabled by default for setup without rotator, unless some people have concerns about this default behavior.
For setup with rotator, if you want to allow this setting, it should be disabled by default.
This is just my thought with my own gear, and maybe some folks could disagree with good reasons.

A merge request is launched and "manual rotator" follows the same policy:
