this is not exactly what I would propose. I'm thinking about a 'Safe rotation' checkbox or similar:
- The supposed safe zone for the rotator is from 0 to 180
- If the rotator is requested to rotate beyond 180d, it will rotate x-180 instead (ie, a request to rotate 210d will result in a rotation of 30d)
- With this option activated, the user agrees the fov may flip
The reasoning behind this is that I (and probably many other users) consider is much safer to stay within 0-180 boundaries since the result is essentially the same (the user agrees a possible fov flip) and the risk for cable entanglement is lower. Even can prevent some tilting to appear.
