Step 1. Do polar alignment using tool in Ekos.
Step 2. Slew your mount to any star and do alignment.
Step 3. Repeat with another star in a different part of sky.
This should improve its pointing accuracy.
Do all of the above in Ekos. No need of any hand controller.

You got me all excited and thought you had cracked the problem thats evading us :-)

@Thomas Mason - How did you achieve running Kstars on Mac and only the internal guiding on RPi please?

I was thinking of something similar to the screen which is shown for Polar alignment assistant. But thinking through this process and Jasem's suggestion,....As a lot of folk dont have automated rotators, I think the way it could work is the sky map is used for defining the area of capture and creating the sequence. Once the capture is initiated it would allow the user to rotate the camera to get right ROI. At this point, I think it would be good to be able to see what camera is capturing as well as sky map, as some of the objects will be so faint that you wouldnt see in camera if you have right orientation. Once user is happy with orientation, the capture sequence is initiated.
Thoughts?

+1 to histogram. Its essential to judge the right exposure levels.
I particularly like the planet profiles that Firecapture allows you to setup. Thats a nice one to have too.

I get this kind of errors sometimes and I have noticed that it happens only when mount is in a certain position. Guessing its down to mount balancing or some such issue.

I had the same issue with my ZWO cameras. The work around that seems to work for me is I ask it NOT to auto connect devices in INDI profile. What happens in this instance is that it shows both camera names and gives me option to select for Capture & Guide.
Give that a go and see if it works for you.

If it can be driven from Sky maps that would be absolutely great :-)
It would have plenty of uses eg. could be used also for controlling rotation of camera etc.

This would be nice to have feature. It could also be used for Mosaic and other areas.

I think that is all for now until I get some clear skies to test again.
@John you dont need to wait for clear skies. Just use the simulators instead of actual devices and try it. You can even try out the platesolving!

Thats strange that its losing the wifi info. I am guessing you have followed the steps recommended in astroberry.io site?

Yes, done all that. As its an Astroberry pre-cooked image, its whatever is there in v2.0.4. As mentioned above I think its using indilib 1.9.3.

I may have found a workaround. Fingers crossed. Will need to try a few nights before I can say it works, which could be several months away looking at UK skies :-(
I have set drivers to manual connect and the ASI driver is the ZWO CCD one. So when it sees the 2 cameras it gives me option to select each of them.
