I can now see how the 3rdparty drivers fit into the hierarchy. ( Specifically Github/indilib/indi-3rdparty)
I realised I needed to BUILD the driver on MY platform ..( a Raspberry Pi running Ubuntu MATE).
Couple of false starts with an incorrect path and missing Indilib-developer library..
But... pleased to say NOW up and running !.. Now for some system tests, and greater understanding of the parameters !

Struggling to download an indi driver for the SDR-RTL spectrograph, to run under ubuntu mate ( On raspberry Pi4) or Mac. Similarly any plans for Airspy known ?
Has it been pulled or discontinued ?
