I think I made a little bit of progress...

I looked at the KStar Device Manager configuration dialogue then snooped along the server path:
/snap/kstars/121/usr/bin

There was no indiserver directory.

More digging around the forums and I found a note to install the binaries for the server. Did that.

Still nothing is working.

I'll do a reboot...

Also I tried, again, to issue the command to get all the libraries.
sudo apt-get install indi-full gsc
but it throws the error
E: Unable to locate package gsc

Now what?
