I was trying to adjust my Esatto focuser and figure out how much backlash there is.
The Esatto focuser has a resolution 420,000 steps.  It was looking like my focuser needed a backlash setting of 3,000 but EKOS wont go higher than 1,000.

Ok, solved. I didn't realize there were TWO places within the system to turn on WCS - the Camera control panel in INDI and also the Stellarsolver control panel in EKOS. Somehow after an update, the WCS in Stellarmsolver got turned off. I had only been checking the camera WCS button in INDI.

I know it's been six years.. but some strange reason mine stopped working.

I have tried turning it back on within the INDI camera control panel for the ASI1600Mm pro and the button turns on, but as soon as I leave that screen, the WCS system gets disabled again. I can't figure out why. This is on the latest Stellarmate build.

Yes,, and I don't see any errors pop up. I just get a message that it was turned off.

So I am stuck, and using the Center Telescope feature is so important to me since I image at very narrow field of views.
I have never seen this before, and have not seen anyone else with this issue.

INDI shows the pixel size is 8.60um x 8.30um while the Lodestar X2 is 8.2um x 8.4um.
Will that make any difference?

LOL! I submitted the wrong photo. I just updated the post.

Will these small differences between what INDI is using and the actual specs make a difference with the guider ap?

New issue for me, as this has never been seen before.  Probably user error.
For some reason I keep getting the message that the World Coordinate System (WCS) is disabled.
I have turned on the WCS info setting in the INDI camera settings.
I then use Stellarsolver to solve an image - and the the WCS turns off.  SO I am unable to use the Center Telescope function.
Is there any other setting I need to check?

Anyone else have this issue?
I am running the latest Stellarmate and just tried to connect to my ASI 462MC camera.  Ihave the latest INDI ASI driver.  INDI recognizes it, and all seems fine at first.  I can grab one or two images - but then KStars dumps to the desktop.  No error messages are given.  This never happens with the ASI 1600MM.   Does the ASI 462 have known issues?

One of the issues I had with calibration was that somehow the DEC Backlash setting was turned on after the new upgrade.  That's a huge no-no for EC2 mounts, as is the GPG RA guider.  Both of those options cause havoc with CEM120 EC2 encoders.

Hy was curious why I used such long guide exposures.  It has to do with the way the CEM120 EC2 hi-res dual encoders fight with autoguide pulses.  Here's an example, where I started off with 1 second exposures, then switched to 4 and finally got good results after 6 seconds.  With my mount there is little difference between 8 and 15 second exposures.  It certainly helps when using an OAG as my fields are filled with stars!   But when my polar alignment is off a tad, or it's windy, or very poor seeing, these long exposures are not the best.  In those cases, I would get better results if I could adjust the exposure length SEPARATE from the exposure FREQUENCY.  For example, a 3 second exposure every 10 seconds - vs long 10 second exposures.

I was going to describe the issue with the RA graph corrections being revered (just the graph, not the actual pulses), but Kevin beat me to it. Also, I too found the same problem with disabling the RA/DEC corrections, that it disables the graph completely.

Well - I spoke too soon. As shown above, I tried the latest version last night and the first set of 20 exposures guided perfectly (RMS of 0.3"). But after that - once I moved to a new target I was never able to get it to work. They made changes to the internal auto guider and whatever they did - it is now not usable for me. It took me an hour just to calibrate it well - and even then the guiding was never usable. I used up 4 hours of a perfect night trying. I then tried a few unguided exposures and I was able to get 180 second exposures at 2,000mm focal length - so the issue is with the guider, not the mount. So until this is fixed I am limited to 180 second shots, unguided.
PS: I always use 8 second guide exposures because anything less is not possible with an iOptron EC2 mount.
