I have recently started using a 294 OSC camera.
When I take my dark frames I can hardly see any amp glow (even when stretched) but my lights show plenty of amp glow.
This means that when I calibrate the amp glow is not removed.
Are there any settings I should make in Indi to get my darks working correctly. I have left everything on the default settings.
The darks I am trying to create are 180 second, gain 120 everything else default OOTB settings.
Attached is a stretched master dark. If you zoom in you can just see the amp glow.
While I do not personally have experience with the 294 sensor, I have heard from a few fellow observers that that sensor has some issues with the cold finger not uniformly cooling the chip causing what appears as amp glow but. That may be better handled with flats. And also bias frames don't work well due to extra calibration pixels located on the perimeter of the chip and how they are processed internally. You may want to check cloudynights for camera specific discussions.
This is my ASI 294Pro 180s master dark frame at gain 120, -10°C, debayered and stretched so you can see the amp glow. The amp glow level is exactly the same as in the light frames. My settings are these:
