Ok so this might be a silly question but here goes.
I live in Australia. Because my view of the SCP is obscured by trees, I have to use the legacy PA tool which is no issue. One of the instructions when running the tool is to point my scope at a star at or near the northern meridian. I know what the meridian is but where in the sky is the northern meridian?
In Kstars, go to the "Settings" menu item (top bar). Down to configure kstars, then in the left panel, select "guides". In that section, on the right side, is a "Local Meridian" checkbox. If you select that, a blue line will display the meridian on the Kstars display. There's only one meridian. Just find your target near that line in the northward direction. Cheers, Doug
