I have been trying to connect webcam for autoguiding purpose on astroberry.
However, I keep getting below error message.
[INFO] Failed to open source. Check your settings: Inappropriate ioctl for device
[INFO] Attempting to connect
[INFO] Trying to connect to: /dev/video0, on device: video4linux2,v4l2 with 640x480 at 30 frames per second
Am I missing any further configuration which needs to be done?
Thanks!
P.S. - The webcam works fine under Windows environment, hence doubt if there is any hardware issue with it.
Just a thought, maybe it is an out of date ffmpeg? INDI webcam is built on FFMPEG, so maybe updating that could help.
As an alternative, since this is a webcam on a Linux system and you have the V4L2 driver, you could try that one instead of INDI Webcam and see if it works
Thanks rlancaste !
Tried to update FFMPEG, however it was already of latest release. V4L2 was further asking for configurations to be done in EKOS.
Nevertheless, was giving few shots at normal updates since yesterday, and now it somehow detects the webcam with usual INDI Webcam driver.
Maybe, I ran in to those nightly beta releases which was giving trouble.
