Both INDI and INDI-3rdparty 1.9.0 are present in openSUSE
The problem was that I didn't specify the strict 1.9.0 requirement (wasn't aware of that), and Kstars was updated to 3.5.3 (and built) with 1.8.9 instead (1.9.0 update came after the Kstars update).
All good after a rebuild!
Hi. Good to hear also INDI-3rd party is available on openSUSE. Butr I just searched for it on the openSUSE software page and didn't find it... Can you give me the repository name? Thank you.
Thanks! Can we add a guide to the INDI Website? We need to add a section for OpenSUSE. Perhaps a short guide like the ones for the other distros? This should assume user with no background knowledge on this.
There are some solutions, but it depends on your operating system. The team here supports many Linux distributions, MacOS, and some Windows now, so please, when you are reporting a problem, or a "me too", specify what your OS is to assist in any debugging.
There is also a new user area that will walk you through adding such information to your signature, which is highly recommended. Find it here: indilib.org/forum/new-forum-users.html
I have been running kstars 3.5.2 quite happily on my RPi4 running Rasbian 10 (Buster)
I tried doing a fresh compile of the latest source tarball of 3.5.3 yesterday which compiles fine but then I realised that Ekos has completely disappeared from the menu bar. Then I came here and saw this thread.
Is there a fix available or should I go back to 3.5.2 ?
