QHY8 not connecting

Hi
I am unable to get indi/Ekos to connect to my QHY8.
I created a profile in Ekos to start the QHY8
If I start Indi, it does not connect.
If I then stop indi, Kstars /Ekos crashes with the following error.

Executable: kstars PID: 9597 Signal: Segmentation fault (11) Time: 21/08/2016 17:22:8
I can connect OK to my QHY9 and to my QHY 5l11 mono.

Only the QHY8 is an issue.

BTW the lost username / password function of the forum is not working. It reports an incorrect captcha entered even whn it is correct. I had to create a new login to post this message.

cheers
Gary

Thanks, but it's still not enough. Do you have TeamViewer? If you do, message me the details and I'll check it out.

Hi!

What version of Linux and kernel are you running? I cannot connect my QHY5 in latest kubuntu and latest kstars-bleeding/indilib. What does dmesg say when you connect the QHY8?

Hi Magnus,
using latest Kubuntu.
Mine is a QHY5L 11 - works perfectly with Indi/Ekos

The QHY8 isn't seen by Indi/Ekos at all.
Jason had a look via Teamviewer and found it had a firmware version he had not seen before - I have to follow up with QHY directly. It is a very early model - has always worked fine under Windows, but not with Linux apparently :-( .....
