Scheduler says job is already complete

Hi!

I'm trying to familiarize myself with the scheduler, and run into some frustrations.

I'm trying to image M27, so I set the following in the scheduler:
Find M27, click OK.
Choose a simple sequnece file (attached)
Profile Default
Tick all four Track, Focus, Align, Guide (I use PHD2, though)

Startap ASAP

I unclick all constraints. I Set completoon conditions to Sequence completion.

Then I click the "+" and the job is in the queue. I click Start Scheduler, and get this output:

2016-09-10T21:23:45 1 job completed.
2016-09-10T21:23:45 M 27 observation job is already complete.
2016-09-10T21:23:44 Astronomical twilight rise is at 04:15:00, set is at 21:54:00, and current time is 21:23:32

What might be wrong here?

Hi Magnus,

Try to disable "Remember Job Progress" option of Ekos.
In Kstarts, go to Setings->Configure Kstars... then in the list on the left, select "Ekos". On the righ area, select "modules". Then disable "Remember Job Progress".

What is the sequence file used? Most likely, you already have images in the same directory specified in the sequence file. And if they sequence file does not make unique names (i.e. no prefix or postfix settings selected), the scheduler checks the files in the directory and they "do" match the sequence files so it considers the job done. If as Sebastien suggested you turn of "Remember Job Progress" then it won't check, but I highly recommend you make a more detailed sequence file.

Hi!

I must say, I do feel a bit stupid - but the same behavior perssts. I now try during daytime, just to get the scheduler started. I do as described before, and use the attached sequence file. The target folder is empty. And I did uncheck the "Remember job progress" just to make it work.

However, when starting scheduler, it says job is already complete.

However, when I change the completion conditions to "Loop until terminated", it starts. So I can make it work. But why not with "Sequence completion"? What to check and try?

Run tomorrow's update and let me know if you have the same issue.

I run into the same problem (like I describe here: indilib.org/forum/ekos/1498-hardcrashes-with-wrong-seconds.html).
The scheduler doesn't even start focus or alignment in my case. It just says "job found", and then ... "job complete".
I could solve it already 2 times with a whole system upgrade (apt-get upgrade). Even when kstars didn't had an update in the ppa.
My guess it's some package dependency.

Hi!

Last night I did the apt-get dist-upgrade, and then ran with "loop until <time set>". ANd that seemed to work nicely - more testing will come tonight.

However, the capture seems to have stopped after first shot in second batch. I guess it might have to do with PHD2 crashing (I will try the internal guider tonight) - but all the kstars log says is this:

2016-09-13T00:00:03.379 - DEBG - Capture: "Received image 1 out of 10."
2016-09-13T00:00:31.766 - DEBG - Weighted Center is X: 83.2879 Y: 52.7625
2016-09-13T00:00:31.766 - DEBG - Capture: "Focus complete."

2016-09-13T01:40:56.264 - DEBG - Scheduler: Stop current action...

So at 00:31 it started a 300 sec capture, that never ended. At 1:40, I manually terminated the scheduler since I was awake and saw that there was a problem. But: how can I make the log more verbose, so I really can know what happened?

Hi!

I'm stilling getting the "Job is already complete" messages... Not always, but I really cannot say when it works and when not, and always when I use Sequence completion as Completion Condition. I use the attached sequence file now, and the target folder is newly created and empty.
