Clever.
On international astronomy day 2017 I setup with a group during the day for public outreach. To polar align I roughly aligned north with a known bearing. Then firing up my telescope control system I directed it to the sun (with proper filters). Naturally it was off, but it was close enough to show up on my sun finder, already this is usable for visual observation. Next I manually adjusted the Alt Az bolts to center the Sun first on the sun finder, then in the eyepiece. The end result was excellent alignment not requiring any adjustments over the course of several hours. Made interaction much easier at the public event.
