EQMOD connection fails was created by Pepe

Hi everybody,

I set up a littler test setup in order to get to know INDI. I am running the Ekos VM on a Mac book and my raspberry pi set up for remote control. The imdi server and eqmod on my pi run just fine.

I tried connecting the eq5 mount controller to the pi via an Aten 232 usb/serial connector. The driver appears in lsusb but I was not able to connect this way.

Instead I tried an Eqdirect cable having a FTDI chipset. Again lsusb shows the driver and I can connect via Ekos. But the connection fails after some seconds. I thought that maybe a powered usb hub could help. However, then no connection is possible.

Could you give me any pointers to solve this problem?

Cheers
Stephan

Replied by max on topic EQMOD connection fails

Saw the usb to serial converter in lsusb ouput, this didn't mean the right driver is loaded. check with lsmod.

Also, log output would be help.
