OnStep mount sync fails with mount model tool

OnStep mount sync fails with mount model tool was created by Rop09

Using Kstars 3.6.3 here with Stellarmate and observing the following issue:
- press align in the OnStep indi control panel
- using the mount model tool I select 3 stars and press start
- mount moves to first position and solves image
- Ekos says "<strong>Syncing to RA (...</strong>"
- at the same time mount moves to 2nd star already, but in Indi panel it already says "<strong>Communication error on sync! Re-issue sync!</strong>"
- after mount has reached 2nd star Ekos is stuck until i press stop in the mount model tool then it says "Mount model tool is reset" and "Solver aborted after xxx seconds"



I came from Astroberry before which had an older version of Kstars/Indi and there the same procedure with the same OnStep controller works, however I noticed the Sync of the mount can take VERY long time (like 2 minutes until it moves to the next star). Seems this waiting time is skipped somehow on this newer version of KStars/Ekos/Indi.

Note: If I manually press "SYNC" in Ekos Solver panel the sync works fine (says successfully synced, that is what you can also see in the screenshot below in between the failed tries)

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Update:
Added logs, but not much can be seen here (this is now from simulated guider that's why the FOV is not correct but the same happens with real devices).
When I manually slew to those starts and press capture&solve button it works fine, just not using the mount model tool automated process - maybe a timing issue?
