Hiya,

In short : how to set up my ZWO 120mm mini (CMOS) as my Guidescope ?

I have sucessfully connected both EQ5-Pro and ASI 120mm mini to INDI server, they were showed on the INDI Control Panel.
However I don't know how to tell the system that "the ASI 120mm is set to be the Guidescope"?

my system:
Hardware :
EQ5-Pro, ASI 120mm mini
Raspberry Pi4B with Samsung 2T SSD
EQMOD direct by TTL-USB (bypass SynScan hand-control)
Software :
OS: Ubuntu Server 22.04, Lxde desktop environment
INDI-server, KStars

I intend to use PHO2 later but now try "internal guiding" at first.

Thank you

after careful study in the webpage - indi ZWO: (www.indilib.org/individuals/devices/came...ics-asi-cameras.html)

I find that in ZWO page => option page
there should be a row : "telescope" where there are 2 option : primary or guide

however, my Indi control panel without this row - "telescope" row

why?
installation incorrectly ?
because I only add 1 cam in this moment ? (my image cam will be come in the middle of April)
there is some setting I need to set then the "telescope" row will be appear ?

thanks

Hi,

to start from the beginning:

- launch KStars
- define your equipment under Tools-> Devices -> List your Equipment
Important: You need to set correct aperture and focal length for both your primary telescope and your guidesope, otherwise you neither get proper platesolving nor guiding!
- launch Ekos in KStars
- Add a new profile and name it as desired
- In the Profile Editor add your mount, main camera, guiding camera, focuser (if exist), and your other devices, if any.
- Save the profile
- Launch the new profile. If everything is set correctly, Ekos will show you the control panel with the connected devices. If a device is not connected rsp. misconfigured, it will not be shown here.
- Leave everything here as it is.
- A new dialogue "Optical Trains" appears(only at the first launch!). Choose the appropriate devices in the dropdowns. You can both add ccd and guidecam in one train, that will work as well. However, I had some problems here, so I defined a second imagetrain with the guidecam.
- Close the dialogue
- I advise you to use the simulator to get acquainted to the complete handling. You can test everything just like you can do with your real equipment.

Have fun!

Best,

J.
