old ekos and AM5 was created by lock

Hello there.

I'm running a system on my (old) tinkerboard 32bits. I cannot update Kstars/ekos and indi because 32bits is not supported anymore. I ordered a new miniPC, so this is not a big deal.

The only issue is: the weather is f... nice at the moment.
So I tried to use my new mont, the AM5. I see the entry in indi pannel. Good news. However I have this log error:
2023-09-08T19:27:00: [ERROR] Failed to connect to port (/dev/ttyUSB0). Error: Port failure Error: No such file or directory. Check if device is connected to this port.

I also tried to connect directly to the IP address but with no luck. What do you think? I'm stuck with my version and I must be patient?

Cheers,

That's not directly related to Ekos/Kstars I would say.
Do you actually get /dev/ttyUSB0 after plugging the mount and powering it up? Maybe it's under ttyUSB1 or something else.

OK I need to check. I will tell you.

And if this is the issue, what I need to do?

From the console, as root, type "dmesg" and look up the last line (right it down or take note of it), then plug in your mount (power on too) and type "dmesg" again and see if any new lines were added.
Another test: "lsusb" before and after plugging the mount and compare the output.
This to check if your machine can actually recognise this new USB device.

So yes it is detected. So I don't get it.
But now.... funny thing. I did an update (probably the last that was possible, I don't now). And I have a crash with the indi_asi_ccd
