Everything works. GOTO in equatorial works just fine. Excellent mount for StellarMate when connected. There is no clear instruction on Wi-Fi connectivity.

It worked!

The port is 11880.

In summary:

Station mode and get the IP address when you connect SW AZ gti with StellarMate.

In the EKOS control panel for the indi driver EQMOD (not az-gti), use the above IP address and Port 11880, UDP.

VOILA, and you will be connected.

What’s the port assignment. I couldn’t get mine to work?

Yes. The app connection was 10.250.250.30. I tried that but don’t know how to assign port. What’s the PORT assignment?

Ok. I have ordered the new cable.

In the meantime I am trying to connect via stellarmate hotspot using the Station Mode in the SynScan Pro app. The connection was successful and I was able to control the mount while on stellarmate hotspot using SynScan. But I am not able to connect Ekos using either the EQMOD or AltAz indi drivers. I have set the IP address to 192.168.4.1 and port to 11880. Please advise.

I ordered a StellarMate EQDIR cable from opt. Would this allow my StellarMate control the mount using EQMOD driver?

I meant to Star Watcher AZ GTI via Stellarmate USB to EQDIR cable.

I am buying the Stellarmate USB to EQDIR cable to connect Stellarmate to Star Adventure AZ GTI mount. Will it work?

Thank you for sharing your experience on guiding the iOptron SGP. Mount super portable but guiding still a challenge. I have finally given up on internal guiding and switched to PHD2 which is working but not perfectly. I have not been able to connect the PHD2 program running on SM+ with the guiding tab on Ekos. Thanks for your suggestion on dithering. Will definitely give that a go. Hope that will smooth out the erratic corrections.

I did not realize how far off the Polar scope can be from the axis. Guess precise alignment would have to rely on Ekos alignment assistant or SharpCap. Which is better?

Thanks for the feedback on balance. Pretty sure I'm balanced with respect to the RA axis. Not sure about balance with respect to DEC axis, no guiding possible in this axis using iOptron Skyguider.

I am using the polar scope built into the RA axis of the iOptron mount. I am assuming iOptron has it's scope lined up the the RA axis correctly.

Appreciate the insight.
You are probably correct. I do the polar alignment with the polar scope at the beginning of the session. What is your recommendation with respect to polar alignment just prior to guiding? Use the Stellarmate polar alignment or Sharp Cap routine? Look at Polaris again through the polariscope?

Please help!

I have two of the iOptron mounts: Skyguider Pro and CEM40.

Still can’t properly guide despite precise polar alignment. My SGP mount, guiding in RA, seems to over correct, is that right? I keep getting the “Delta RMS threshold exceeded” error message.

How do you set to wide field guiding? I am using Orion mini scope on qhy 5-II-m for guiding my main scope Radian Raptor with focal length of 274 mm on Canon 60Da DSLR.

With your recommendations I am able to guide the SGP mount using ST4 cables via QHY 5-ii-M guide camera. Keep getting the error message “Delta RMS threshold exceeded”. What is wrong?

Just got your solution and will try tonight. Despite unchecking Dec option, the program continues to calibrate Dec. Will follow your instruction tonight.
