As mentioned in an earlier review/update with the EQ8-R there are a few gotchas, some of which are INDI related and now mostly fixed or at least identified bugs, some of which are more puzzling.

I've read a few reports of people using both GSS and INDI that have found that recording and enabling PPEC for the RA axis can cause the mount to go into an uncontrolled erratic state (high pitched motor whine and accelerated tracking speed which would eventually result in a mount crash if you are not visually watching your mount during testing.

I'd be interested to know if this is happening on other's EQ8-R's and whilst looking at it, EQ6-Rs or other SkyWatcher mounts.
