I've been working on some focus enhancements for a while. There is still some coding to do and then quite a bit of testing before these changes are available so no release date yet.

Here is a spec of the proposed changes:

The codebase is quite bloated now and really needs some simplifying. I've been trying to make Linear 1 Pass the most accurate and flexible algorithm and may in future look to retire some / all of the other algorithms. If you use other algorithms and haven't tried L1P can I suggest you give it a go. If you feel you have a use-case for another algorithm could you explain it (maybe L1P can already do the functionality, or maybe it could easily be extended to cover it). Just to reassure you, the intention here would not be to take away any functionality that cannot be achieved elsewhere.
