Careful, I did just a regular Software updater and got a "The package system is broken"
After this KStars would start, but once I launched my profile in EKOS, KStars crashed right away.
I was able to run: sudo apt --fix-broken install
And it seemed to get me back working again. It still crashes, but the second launch stays running.
I'm not trusting the current version, but I think it's kinda running. I think it was libmicam that had the issue. I don't think I use it (I have ZWO cameras).
stellarmate@stellarmate:~$ sudo apt --fix-broken install

Setting up indi-full (1.8.3~202001312244~ubuntu18.04.1) ...
This is normal when a new dependency gets declared. The indi-full package is an empty package that depends on all INDI drivers. If you don’t use the micam driver then you can choose to not install indi-full and everything keeps working. The crash experienced by Megiddo is unrelated to the micam driver. And using the —fix-broken command fixes the dependency issue so nothing is wrong.
FYI, this post is the same issue as here: www.indilib.org/forum/general/6398-error...-indi-mi-driver.html
The software message in the Software Updater gives the command to run to fix the issue. If you "sudo" that command, it will fix itself and you can continue (at least it worked for me....I had the same problem and now it's all good).
